Wow, this is pretty awesome! As a note, the typical way to show twins on a family tree is to do a single line for a child, and then branch it into two twins.

A few notes specific to the Silm Film project adaptation (deviations from Tolkien's texts used to create this family tree):

Indis is Ingwë's daughter. Ingwë is The First Elf to awaken, as he was in the Etymologies, and so it was vigorously determined that he could not have parents or a sister. He and his wife have only one child as portrayed in the early history thus far (Indis), but the door could be open for the existence of Ingwion if he were to be born later.

Elmo does not exist. He has not been renamed; his space has been erased. Celeborn is younger than Elwë and Olwë (he is a child/teen when they are adults), but he is not two generations younger. We have not yet introduced Celeborn's father by name, but if he has survived into the first age, he is *not* going to be Thingol's brother. A portion of Thingol's family was killed by the Hunter at Cuivienen; thus, the relationships among the survivors is a bit unclear. Celeborn is currently an unspecified kin to Elwë, but he is likely more distant than a nephew.

The placement of Orodreth and Gil-galad on this family tree are far from finalized. It is possible that we will go with the published Silmarillion. It is possible we will do this.

But awesome work and this is so helpful!

Thanks so much! :)

I decided to work it out starting from what I consider "canon", knowing that not all of that would be the same in SilmFilm, because this is also for my personal use/fun.

I'm surprised at the lack of Ingwion. I thought he was the leader of the Vanyar at the War of Wrath, and it would be really weird if he was younger than his sister's grandchildren.

What's the usual way to show fraternal twins? And what about two siblings who might or might not be twins, if that's ever a thing in real life?

Yeah, I'm not entirely sure why we didn't include Ingwion; I just know that he hasn't been introduced yet, and every time Ingwë has been discussed, his family consists of a daughter and a resurrected wife. Perhaps he will be a member of the court whose relationship to Ingwë is not explicitly stated.

Here is an example of how to show twins. If you don't know for certain that they are identical, you can show them as fraternal as the default, I would think.
