Provisional map of Aman. So far I tried to suggest possible locations for Valmar, Ezellohar, Mahanaxar, Taniquetil, Alqualonde, Formenos, Kortirion and Avallone.
1. Tol Eressea is not quite on the girdle of Arda (the equator) but a bit more north. Reason: the flora and Fauna and climate of Tol Eressea is more similar to southern Britain.
2. the Calacirya is not just a small pass but a huge area. Reason: the light of the two trees has to reach Tol Eresseas western Coast.
3. the Bay of Eldamar is a great gulf, comparable to the gulf of Mexico. Reason: Tol Eressea is guessed to have roughly the size of the british isles.
4. Valmar is not in the center of the continent and also does not lie on the equator but approx. 1000 miles inward from the bay of Eldamar. Reason: Valmar and the two trees on Ezellohar are assumed to lie in a straight line west to Tol Eressea.
