    That said. Do we have a written out breakdown of where we anticipate S4 to go, start to finish, with high points noted? Or is it more "from where we ended S3 up to Beren & Luthien"?

    I listed the events that need to happen on p. 1 of Concerns About Season Four, but parsing that into episodes, each with a climax, is usually something Nick does best.

    We likely won't begin Season 4 until September, so you have some time, yet. We probably should hash out some ideas for overall season arc/episode breakdown to share with the Hosts prior to the 'official' discussion of same.

    Many of us are passionate, both about the text and about the issues that concern us. That does tend to elevate a more spirited dialogue, which I will admit to falling into myself now and again. I wish you all the best in what I'm sure is a high-stress situation. I tend to devolve pretty quickly without my wife around.

    While I've not noticed anything particularly untoward from you, there has been some contentious posting lately. Hopefully, we can all put that behind us and be more charitable to one another.

    As for your move, all the best! My brother-in-law is often deployed, and I know how difficult it is on the family to survive that separation. All power to you, and may your job go well!

    Half-first cousins isn't incest for elves. So far, Fingon may be Gil-galad's father, though, so only Maedhros is definitely a childless bachelor.

    You can write slash fic about any two male characters, typically. There is plenty of Glorfindel/Ecthelion fic in existence as well, and they're likely unrelated, if that helps. The real question is why we would want to show that and what purpose we would have in making it explicit. Being relevant and modern hasn't exactly been a guiding principle of this project thus far.

    Haven't clicked through to an article yet. Guessing it amounts to what we already have, not much new. Not a contiguous narrative. More Beren and Luthien, less Children of Hurin.

    I will definitely have to look at it once it's in the local library. Even an attempted summary of what the post-Lost Tales story of Earendil's voyages "would have been" could be awesome to have.
