Bill Skarsgård.
I want to get as many of the Skarsgård family into this project as possible. This brother is known for playing Pennywise in the new version of It. I think he'd be perfect for the proud and often utterly unpleasant son of Fëanor that Caranthir is.

They tend to have big shoulders.
 
I do like Jason Nokia and did think of him but was thinking that his skin tone was a bit too dark but he would be really good
 
I don’t think Momoa’s skin tone should be a problem. That can be fixed with makeup. Maybe it’s quite easy to make him ruddy.
 
How about Jack O'Connell?

Joe Cole isn't necessarily as beefy as what most people think of when they think of as a rugby player, but he can play somebody with a real fire inside; generally portraying hard-man gangster types. He may be a little too young visually for the role though.

(sorry if people find the shirtless pics not in acceptable taste, it's just they looked rather slight in the other pics and I felt it helped to see their build and that they could pass for 'rugby types')

I thought in the latest posts for season 5 that he was uncast still? Ah, still trying to get my head around all the various parts of the board

Ed Skrein is a very cool choice
