Budgeford

This is a minor point. I enjoyed the way Narnion showed us how many of the places in the Shire have the roots in things we read in the books. If Bilbo is always remembering his bacon and eggs, it is quite logical that there would be farms for both pigs and chickens. However, there are one or two details about Budgeford that do come from it's name. It is the one place in the shire where the crossing of the Water is by a ford rather than a bridge. And who comes from there? Fatty Bolger. We read later that Fatty was told bogey stories by his nurses (plural), so I suppose the Bolgers were a prominent family and the town at the ford was named after them. I can imagine the old name Bolgerford being shortened to Budgeford (like Oxenford being shortened to Oxford).
