As I am sure most of you know, Christopher Tolkien passed away this week.
Without him, of course, vast quantities of Tolkien lore would not exist. He also fought hard to fend off as many tasteless would be exploiters of Tolkien's work as he could.
I think his father would be proud of him (though possibly not altogether happy that some of his unfinished work ended up being published).
Let's hope that whoever next controls the JRR Tolkien estate will defend it as valiantly.
