Dor-lómin

Dor-lomin is the part of Hithlum ruled by Fingon. Not much happens there this season, but it will become a more prominent location in later seasons.

The Silmarillion does not give it much description: "... to Fingon was assigned Dor-lómin, that lay to the west of the Mountains of Mithrim."

What do we want this area to look like? Do we want there to be anything distinctive about Fingon's fortress?

There’s a river known as the Rainbow Cleft, with mountains to the south-east. Maybe heaths?

It should probably look fairly inhospitable since the Elves keep their horses over in Ard-galen and the Easterlings are not happy about being sent there after the Nirnaeth Arnoediad.

We've decided to use the Scottish Highlands for Hithlum/Mithrim regions, so something there, or compatible with there, would be good for Dor-lómin.
