Fascinating! I agree that Elendil, or a ghostwriter close to his family, is a likely choice for an author. I also agree that a Blach Numenorean scholar or a Storyteller of the Wild men of Middle-Earth certainly would tell the story in a much different way...
Yet, i still believe the finished Akallabeth is m6ch how an elf, like Pengolodh, would tell that story too... but what would be his sources other than one close to the faithful, which again brings us back to Elendil...
