Fieldtrip feedback: The seven sword quest

Hey. Just watched the VOD from tuesdays "exploring the lord of the rings" class and after watching the fieldtrip about the "seven sword", i couldnt help to compare Saurons 7 rings to the race of men and the wichkings 7 sword to the hillmen. The implication here is most facinating and found this extremely interesting and something i never noticed before, even though i played through it many times.

Zalarod, it was 7 to the dwarves (and 7 stars and 7 stones for the Numenorians), and 9 to the men, but the stories of the 7 swords had a definite "ring like" feel to them. One wonders if there were other cursed items given besides rings and swords.
