"For verily, from the land of Gondor I am come"

This is just a little thing, but I just wanted to point out carefully crafted this sentence is, and how much of it hinges on the word "verily". Firstly, the word serves to heighten the tone of the sentence even more. Without it ("For from the land of Gondor I am come"), the sentence would still be sufficiently lordly in tone; but the word reinforces the tone. Gondor, it also suggests "I am a True Gondorian", and therefore serves to multiply the authority that Boromir is claiming - he's not just someone who has traveled from Gondor, but he is Gondor.
