Haldad (322-385 F.A.†) is the first known leader of the Haladin (later known as the House of Haleth) and father of Haleth and Haldar (and grandfather of Haldan). Appointed leader of the Haladin, he is killed in a confrontation with Boldog when the latter leads an attack from Angband in F.A.; his son Haldar is killed trying to rescue his body, leaving command of his house to Haleth.
The Hosts have established that they want an actor in his late 40s-50s, of asiatic-Indian/Pakistani heritage for Haldad, on the shorter side and no taller than Haleth his daughter. We'll be hard-pressed to find a man 5'6" or shorter.
