Maeglin Lómion is the son of Eól and Andreth of Gondolin; born in Nan Elmoth, he flees his home with his mother to her home of Gondolin and from there, Turgon accepts him into his family, with Maeglin becoming leader of the House of the Mole and proving his worth in finding lodes of valuable metal in the Encircling Mountains and as a warrior in the Nirnaeth Arnoediad. Maeglin nurtures a desire for his first cousin Idril (a big taboo in Elvish culture) and was angrier than most by Idril's choice of Tuor as her husband. In F.A. 503, Maeglin is captured by agents of Morgoth and either tortured or persuaded into revealing Gondolin, with his price being Idril's hand. During the Fall of Gondolin, Maeglin attempted to rape Idril and murder her son Eärendil, but is thrown to his death by Tuor.

The Hosts have indicated that whoever they want for Maeglin should be charming, not creepy, that his evil should not be apparent by looking at him. He should have a muscular build, but on a more compact frame; he should provide a noticeable contrast to Tuor.

Tom Holland would be an atypical choice for Maeglin, but he fits a number of the criteria since most of his roles have been straight-up heroes like Spider-Man or Walter Beckett in Spies in Disguise, but he is certainly capable of playing violent anti-heroes, as shown in his turn as Arvin Russell in The Devil All the Time where he plays two different sides of anti-hero: the aggressive, in-your-face type and the cold, calculating murderer. If you want to see how much muscle he has, watch the scene in Spider-Man: Homecoming where Peter's friend Ned finds out who he is.

An article for why Holland was cast as Arvin in The Devil All the Time; the gist of the article is that Holland is someone who can make the audience care for his character while he goes and commits multiple gruesome crimes.

Rhys Matthew Bond does a pretty good job of playing the lovable, snarky bad boy in The Good Witch. It’s very hard to find videos of him that aren’t tribute videos shipping him with Bailee Madison, his on-off love interest on the show.

Maxim Baldry.
IMDB
We are looking for a Maeglin that the viewers like, and root for. At the same time, his fall has to be believable. If we choose Baldry, we get a Maeglin who can be strong but mild, and work as someone with a deep narcissistic wound, full of himself while still being likeable.

I also nominate Max Irons. IMDb
Perhaps on the older side, but I don't know how much of the very young Maeglin we're showing. Still, he'd be another believable loveable narcissist, but a bit more forceful and obviously dangerous than Baldry.

Ludi Lin

Mr. Lin has bemoaned the lack of opportunities for actors who look like him to be cast in the Amazon Lord of the Rings production (does that even have a title yet?) We hear you; come play an elf in our production!

Granted, Ludi Lin may not be the most believable child of Mark Strong and Charlotte Riley, but, hey, they all have dark hair and eyes, it's fine....

Mark Strong/ Eöl the Dark Elf (2016):

So, whoever we cast needs to passably look like their child, with the understanding that wigs can be involved. But let's give Ludi Lin a chance!

This Canadian-Chinese actor is best known for his role in martial arts films, such as Power Rangers and Mortal Kombat. He has played characters who are significantly younger than himself, and he has been able to bring an innocence to his roles. He would probably be considered too earnest and sweet to go bad, which is something we are hoping for with Maeglin, but also...he can appear dangerous! He would make the fight scene with Tuor at the fall of Gondolin very memorable! The audience would definitely fear for young Eärendil's life and safety!

Photo with his shirt on - what a dapper, wholesome young man! (Plenty of shirtless photos on the internet reveal that he is completely ripped, but with a costume covering all of that, he is deceptively slim, which would create a good contrast to the tall, blond, and presumably stockier Tuor)

But oh wait, he can do this as well (watch clip from 5:04-5:34):
