With a little further preparation, Link finally defeats Veran and restores peace to Labrynna! He doesn't have long to rest, however, before he's stripped of his gear and sent to Holodrum to help out the next oracle, Din. Upon arrival, Link attempts his best Ralph impression by utterly failing to protect Din, and so the seasons of Holodrum are thrown into chaos. Can Link rescue Din? Will Twinrova's ultimate plan succeed? And just how long will it be before someone in THIS land decides to marry Link, too?

It's been so long since Link was last in Labrynna! After being away for nearly an entire stream, Link takes the time to visit with old friends, play some mini-games, and share some secrets with Tingle and the forest fairies. Unfortunately, Queen Ambi has left, so he can't see how things are going with her, and the Labrynna Maku Tree's infatuation with him is still rather creepy...

Kids! They're a constant source of irritation for Link. If they're not stealing his equipment and giving him useless rocks instead, they're calling his friends monsters and demanding he give them bombs for who knows what purpose! Though, some of them do grow up to compose songs about how great he is, so at least there's that.

Please don't smash the sign!

As Link continues on, he recovers two more Essences of Nature, collecting the blessing of the final Season Spirit along the way! Meanwhile, more Subrosians take stuff from him without his permission, perhaps establishing Subrosia as some sort of anarchist society, albeit one awfully protective of signs.

It's time for a treasure hunt! Now, Link is no stranger to needing to find specific items in order to proceed, but this time there's a twist: this time, he can get an actual map showing the exact locations of the necessary objects! Though, perhaps that makes things a little too easy. Why bother saving the world from evil if there's not at least a little challenge to it?

Back in Labrynna, Link tells a few secrets while searching out more for himself. Though, he seems to be finding more mysteries than secrets, and seems no closer to answering that age-old question: is it blue then red, or red then blue?

Link finishes delving the ruins, proving that he's enough of an adventurer to help pirates search for their ship's missing bell. Finding it allows him to go on a sea voyage which enables him to access a crypt. Seems a long, roundabout way to visit a grave, but long-lost lovers were reunited in the process, so maybe that makes it worthwhile.

Link only has a few last secrets to turn in before he is done with Labrynna for this linked game! But not everyone wants Link to succeed! Not only does Mamamu Yan send Link on a hopeless search, but the Goron Elder has cooked up a challenge so insidious as to rival the dreaded Goron Dance!

The time has come! After Link collects the final essence, it is time to take on Onox and rescue Din, Oracle of Seasons! But will that be enough? Clearly, Princess Zelda came to Holodrum for a reason, and what if that reason turns out to be so she could get kidnapped?

Signs! Signs!
Everywhere a sign!

All of the time!
Better be polite
And respect the signs!

As Link wanders around Holodrum, he decides to try delving into the depths of the Hero's Cave, where he faces one of the toughest enemies of the entire game: the Magic Boomerang's controls. Then he delves once more into the depths of Subrosia, and discovers the dire consequences of destroying signs...

Link has defeated Onox and Ganon, and restored peace to Holodrum! He doesn't have long to rest, however, before he's stripped of his gear and sent back to Holodrum to help out the oracle Din, again. Upon arrival, Link attempts his best Ralph impression by utterly failing to protect Din, and so the seasons of Holodrum are thrown into chaos. Can Link rescue Din? Just how long will it be before someone decides to marry Link this time? Haven't we already been over all of this?

As Link makes his way through a few more dungeons, he once again rescues Dimitri from kids bullying him, and has to retrieve a feather from some Subrosian kids. Link hates kids in Zelda games. Except for himself. As the hero, he gets to have a double standard.

As Link closes in on the climax of the game, he notices just how important the pirate Cap'n is to his quest. It was the Cap'n who encouraged Link to explore some ruins, which led to acquiring the sixth Essence. It was the Cap'n who sent Link to the desert to find the bell, which led to needing to polish the bell and also getting a shield upgrade. And it was the Cap'n who finally docked his ship and allowed Link to access the seventh level. In a way, the Cap'n is kind of like Link's long-lost father.

...except that Ralph, being a descendent of the Cap'n's lover, Queen Ambi, may well be a descendent of the Cap'n too, and Link would really rather not have more in common with Ralph than he can help. So maybe it's preferable if the Cap'n remains a wise, old, thoroughly unrelated mentor.

As Link prepares to finally face off against Onox, he remembers the old saying, "If at first you don't succeed, try, try again!" Then, "try, try again" again; and if necessary, "try, try again" again...again! It may take a lot of try, trying, and many, many agains, but Link is determined to finally, ultimately defeat Onox once and for all!

As Link finally returns to Labrynna, his biggest surprise is getting to see Merry fully grown! Donning one of his dad's old hats, Merry has decided he wants to be an adventurer like Link! Sure, he mainly just marches back and forth in his bedroom; but he hasn't interfered with Link's quest, so he's at least accomplished more than Ralph ever did!

Link is sent back to Holodrum to find and tell a Secret to an unlucky person. Upon doing so, the guy shows his appreciation by...insisting that Link pay him a hefty sum. At least it seemed to turn the guy's luck around. Now, if only someone would apply such a Secret to Link...

Link revisits the Tokay, and is helped in retrieving his items by none other than Rosa the Subrosian! However, Link doesn't need her key at the moment, so he doesn't ask her on a date. Instead, he continues on his adventure and decides to do his impression of the Chosen One. He may not be able to bring balance to the Force, but he can force balance on a village, and there is plenty of fire and lava as well. It doesn't even cost him an arm and a leg.

Between beating a couple more dungeons, Link visits his pupil, Merry. "How can I become a great hero like you?" Merry asks.
Link thinks of all the troubles he has overcome. Through perseverance. Through luck. Through button-mashing. Sometimes--horribly--through endless, repetitive dancing. Seeing Merry still waiting expectantly for an answer, Link mumbles something about training hard, and leaves; trying not to show his anxiety that the kid may end up being a better hero than he is. After all, he already has a cooler hat.

Link returns to Holodrum to turn in some more secrets, and gets to catch up a bit with his friends the Gorons! Everyone is happy to have the seasons return to normal, and Biggoron was especially happy that Link could teach him how to forge the Biggoron Sword!

The Subrosians, on the other hand, were considerably less impressed with Link's recent heroism, and the Great Fairy guarding a secret felt the need to explain how Ring's work to Link, despite the fact he's been using them the whole game already. There are good reasons Link prefers to spend his time in the overworld when he can.

It's been a long, hard struggle, but it's all been worth it. All Link's effort and all his sacrifice has come to this. Once Link defeats this foe, the world will be safe and Link can live a simple, easy life! Bring it on, Graceful Goron! Today is the day Link conquers your Goron Dance for the final time!
