Script Discussion S06E08

Sure! They are dwarves of Belegost. They aren't connected to the command structure, and are thus run-of-the-mill worker dwarves.

What aboutSincin, Doldir, Mîr, Gondrin, Drim, Gondir, Maenor, Tagron, Gerin, Gerdir, Sabir, Grôd, Rhonn, Grûda, Drabir, Muda, Tars, Drauthir, Beglin, Naurfing, Fam ?

So, the overarching theme of this episode seems to be a lot of characters trying to choose a direction, or making fateful decisions that will impact the rest of their lives.

Beren and Lúthien have to figure out if they are both committed to the mortal/immortal marriage thing, as well as figure out whether or not pursuing the quest is of greater importance than just hanging out together. They both have been given some food for thought that preys on some insecurities they might have about their future with one another, and they haven't had much of an opportunity to be together or even really talk about things since Thingol laid down the ultimatum of the quest. They both have a lot to figure out...next episode. For now, they are asking more practical questions such as 'where should we go?' and some of these issues come up.

Huan chooses Lúthien and rejects Celegorm.

Orodreth chooses Doriath and rejects the Fëanoreans.

Celebrimbor chooses his frienship with Orodreth and rejects his father Curufin.

Curufin and Beren get to work out the 'when is murder justifiable?' moral dilemma.

Glaurung chooses to leave his mini-hoard in Keep Helevorn, and set out for Dorthonion where there isn't much promise of treasure, but there is an opportunity to become a dragon-lord.

Luthien should mourn Finrod too, he was her cousin after all. She knew him longer than Beren did.
