Season 7 Casting List

Since Season 7 is starting soon, I've decided to speculate about which roles we'd need for the upcoming season. Right now I'm looking at:
  • Húrin: Son of Galdor the Tall, accedes to the Lordship of Dor-Lómin after his father's death (likely our central character), could be two-person cast role
  • Huor his brother, father of Tuor, Killed in Action at the Nirnaeth Arnoediad
  • Morwen, Húrin's wife and mother of Túrin, Urwen (called Lailath), and Nienor (at least one since it could be a two-person cast role)
  • Rian, Huor's wife, mother of Tuor, dies of grief at the Hill of the Slain in the Anfauglith
  • Galdor the Tall, Húrin and Huor's father, Killed in Action at Eithel Sirion shortly after Húrin's return to Dor-Lómin
  • Sador Labadal, a man of Dor-Lómin with a crippled foot, a woodcarver, friend of Húrin's son Túrin, Pukelman?
  • Haldir Lord of Brethil (Húrin's uncle), Killed In Action at the Nirnaeth Arnoediad
  • Gloredhel his wife (Húrin's aunt, Galdor's sister),
  • Handir (Haldir and Gloredhel's son, accedes to the Lordship after Haldir's death, Killed in Action shortly before the Fall of Nargothrond)
  • Gwindor, an Elven nobleman of Nargothrond, betrothed to Finduilas, starts the Nirnaeth when he watches his brother Gelmir executed before the walls of Angband
  • Finduilas, daughter of Orodreth King of Nargothrond
  • Bor, leader of a group of Easterlings, remains faithful to the Elves, Killed in Action at the Nirnaeth Arnoediad
    • at least one of Bor's sons (Killed in Action at the Nirnaeth Arnoediad)
  • Ulfang the Black, leader of another group of Easterlings, Killed in Action?
  • Uldor Ulfang's son, leads the Easterling mutiny during the Nirnaeth Arnoediad, killed by Maglor
  • Brodda, an Easterling of Ulfang's group, takes over Dor-Lómin in the aftermath of the Nirnaeth Arnoediad; perhaps a lieutenant?
  • Aerin, a kinswoman of Húrin who is taken to wife by Brodda
As for the Frame, I have an idea for the Last Meeting of the White Council, so Saruman could be a factor. Gwindor and Finduilas are roles that have been put off for some time.

Perhaps not exactly right, but Christian Bale (not yet cast, I believe) could pull off a completely physically shattered Gwindor, I think.
 
Season 7 Casting List (after Session 7-12)

Elves
- Gwindor
Gwindor should be 'tormented' in two different ways. In Season 7, he is haunted by the loss of his brother in the Dagor Bragollach, and as such becomes a bit of a zealot obsessed with fighting. And then of course after his time in Angband, he is physically weakened and tormented and haunted by what he has seen and done. Gwindor should not look like a natural-born soldier. He can have a slender elf build that makes his eagerness to fight stand out in contrast to what may be his presumed natural abilities.​
Dark hair.​

- Finduilas
Child of Meril and Orodreth. Not mousy. Not a commanding presence. Overlookable. Quietly firm; not a pushover. Pretty, but not show-stopping gorgeous.​

Men of Dor-lómin
- Galdor
Tall. Blond. Burly/stocky build. To look at him, you would think him a commander of armies and a good fighter, and you would not be wrong. 40's-50's​

- Húrin
Shorter than Huor. Burly/stocky build. Dark hair. Appears to be in his 20's or early 30's.​

- Huor
Taller than Húrin. Blond. More slender build. Stands behind and supports his brother - not a 'take charge' type.​

Men of Brethil
-Handir
Medium Height (between Húrin and Huor). Medium complexion. Medium build. A 'blend' of Haladin and Hadorian traits.​
20's or early 30's.​

Men of the House of Bëor
- Morwen
Tall (okay if she's taller than Húrin), Dark-haired, pale-skinned, striking, queenly, serious. 20's.​

- Rían
Shorter than Morwen, Dark-haired, more bubbly/happy personality (similar to Lalaith). Young - teen or young 20s.​

Men of Bree
- Bor
Consummate soldier. Charioteer. Old campaigning buddy of Ulfang.​
Slavic appearance. 40's.​

- Ulfang
Consummate soldier. Confidant, commanding. Well-deserved success. A better military commander than a father, though.​
Mediterranean appearance. 50's. Has a beard.​

- Uldor
Daddy-issues. First, he's trying to prove himself (maybe a bit whiny). Later, he wants to remove his father from the picture. Does not have a typical warrior 'look'.​
Mediterranean appearance. 20's or early 30's.​

Dwarves
- Two Everyman Dwarves of Belegost
Dark hair, dark beards, broad builds​

Frame
- Saruman
Most important trait will be his mellifluous voice. He thinks very highly of himself. He certainly can be a good-looking older gentleman.​

Yes, there are a few additions to the current casting list, including:

The Emperor of Bree - listed as "King Above Kings"
Beldis - Handir's wife, mother of Brandir
Gelir - Hadorian cousin of Húrin and Huor, likely the brother of Aerin.

Characters who appear in only one episode, or who would not be expected to have lines in multiple episodes, are not cast in Season-wide casting, but these all meet the criteria of appearing in multiple episodes with lines.
