To get the ball rolling, I suggest an unusual choice: Clark Gregg. He plays Agent Phil Coulson for the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and most of the praise I've seen of him focuses on his facial acting, but I think his vocal skill has been greatly underappreciated. He's able to be wry, eager, sarcastic, and smug within half a breath of dialogue, which is perfect for a cat.

I suggest Sam Witwer. He is known to Star Wars fans as he's voicing both the Emperor and Darth Maul in the Clone Wars/Rebels TV series they have. He's also Starkiller for those who have played Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. He has an incredible voice and is a master of imitation. However, he's not just a voice actor. In the TV series "Being Human" he played a vampire and apparently did great. I haven't seen that show though. He can be both funny and very frightening and certanily can go some very dark places. I think he's perfect for this role!

Ooooh... I like this one, Hatleking! And can't you see him doing motion capture for a cat?
Yes, absolutely. His face looks like a good prospect for such a thing!

EDIT: He did in fact motion capture for the Star Wars game.

So what role will Tevildo play, since he's not in The Silmarillion?
Long story short, he's Mairon's sorta, kinda-unreliable but also hates the Balrogs, ally. You know, 'cause you can't really trust a cat unless they hate someone else more than they hate you.

I would nominate a female actress because there is something feminine about cats. I know it is a Prince of cats, but we can get around that. My nomination is Camren Bicondova who played the girl Selina Kylewho would become Catwoman in the TV prequel Gotham. The actor to play Tevildo needs poise and grace.
