I think we should stick to our 'no dead actors' rule, but it is certainly a shame when we lose someone during the project. Missed opportunity 🙁

So what should be the protocol if an actor who is cast dies during the project?

Kurt Russell? I think his character of Ego the Living Planet in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is supposed to evoke the wise old man in appearance... if not in personality.

Definitely Saruman material. I remember him most in LA Confidential and Star Trek: First Contact, two very different characters.

Dale has wended his way in and out of TV roles throughout his career (and even played King Arthur in Spamalot on the stage), but the role that struck me was in the Person of Interest episode "Foe" where he plays an East German agent who was imprisoned and seeks revenge on his colleagues for betraying him: smart, lethal, with decades of experience and a frightening knowledge of the human body. It's a decidedly nuanced role and even a little scary at times as he switches back and forth between attempting to wrest information from Caviezel's Reese via describing what exactly he's doing and reminiscing with him about their differing pasts as hitmen for their countries.
