One option could be showing the events before the return of the Noldor in flashbacks.

My push will be to show the Beleriand events concurrently with Oath, the Kinslaying and the ship-burning. We just slide them over in time a bit.

But the Sindar stuff is on a macro level and the Oath is just a moment.
I think we could do a tease and deal with the Sindar for the whole first episode and then go back to the Oath.

But we won't be depicting the Oath in a moment. It will be an entire episode, during which we can cut back and forth between it and the Sindar plot.

For example, the Sons of Fëanor step forward and speak the Oath as one, suggesting it had been discussed previously.
