Just listening to session 167 and someone asked "Can you kill Gandalf the Grey?"
The way it was asked came out with such a clear rhythm that it put me in the mind to write a poem about how to kill Gandalf... hence:
Can you kill Gandalf the Grey?
Well, I can think of one good way!
You can kill him with a sword,
Or mustering a large orc horde.
You could pull him from a tree,
And set a wolf to bite his knee.
If he tried to climb up higher,
Then you could burn him with a fire.
In the dark! In the dark!
That would seem like quite a lark.
You could kill him with a knife,
And in the dark could take his life.
You could kill him with arrows,
Or pouring poison up his nose.
Trample with a herd of cows,
Or strangle him with his eyebrows.
With a troll! With a troll!
That would seem to be quite droll.
You could put him in his grave,
With a troll inside a cave!
If he has his staff or not
Doesn’t matter not a jot!
Set a worm to gnaw his lung,
And kill him with its tiny tongue.
With a balrog you can kill,
Gandalf the Grey and yet he will,
Make a stand and fall and fight,
And come back as Gandalf the White!
More verses welcome....
