Concerning broken swords, forging, brandishing, flames, and Days of Fire

Regarding the discussion of Strider's poem ("not all who wander are lost"), and the prophetic dream to the folks in Minis Tirith ("seek for the sword that was broken"), there seems to be a unifying image that may not have yet been addressed:

My dictionary tells me that in Old or Middle English brand means either torch or sword, akin the old English baernan which means to burn. The word brandish has the same origin.

Thus, when the broken sword is reforged and it becomes Anduril, Flame of the West, and is brandished as such, perhaps it is the beginning of Days of Fire. Consider the references sword (brand, same word as torch in Middle English), forging (in fire), Anduril (Flame of the West), brandishing (wielding a sword, which is same word as torch in Middle English). It might almost seem that the prophesied Days of Fire are a good thing for those wielding the reforged Flame of the West.
