How about "Leof" - Saxon for "dear, beloved"? Short and simple.

Maybe. It just sounds a tad elegant. Maybe something punch and one syllable. For a mute farm boy. I’m trying to remember any of my Old English lectures (most of which I skipped lol)

Ha, I nearly added ‘but not starting with B or G’ but thought I was being pernickety. It’s just to complete my proposed Beren and Luthien pitch. Need a name for a semi important child character. But there’s already Beren, Barahir, name drop to Beor. I’ll keep scratching my head
