During the last class you discussed the passage where the elves sing and how this conjures words, feelings and images in the hobbits' heads.
This got me thinking about the Ainulíndalë and whether there was any relation between these two events in Tolkien's mind.
In his creation story, Tolkien shows how words and song can actually "create" the physical world around us. (With a little help from Iluvatar's flame imperishable of course)
So I was wondering, is the same thing happening when the elves sing, but just on a smaller scale?
