Delayed Spotify posting?

Recently there are month long breaks in posting episodes followed several at once. Is that intended? I also hear background music. Is that intended?
 
I think the background music is intentional - is it from Lotro? If you're impatient waiting for the podcast releases you can always just listen to the YouTube versions which usually come quite promptly. One thing I would like would be edited audio podcasts without the fieldtrip (and maybe even without the intro announcements) so I don't have to interrupt my bike-ride to skip forward on my playlist. But that's a very small irritation.

(The problem with the intros is that some people are listening to the audio right after they come out and some people are listening years after. The announcements are not much use to the latter group!)
