You're not the only one to express some discomfort at the Tol Eressea is leftover from one of Melkor's volcanic eruptions. 🙂
The thing I would have to point out is that Melkor has had a hand in just about everything about the world by this point, so I don't see this as anything more than a callback, showing the evil of Melkor being woven back into the Music.
