Lore Implications of Chicken Play

I realize 90% of you may prefer to just ignore chicken play since it doesn't really seem to fit, but I prefer my own head canon explanation that the PCs are all simply Chicken-form skinchangers (if there can be Beornings, why can't there be a chicken equivalent)? I realize this subforum is deserted but it still seemed like the best place to put this.
