She would be great! I nominated her to play Gilraen. I haven't heard the results from the polls, but if she didn't get that part, I'm all for her as Luthien.

I think one of the issues with Lúthien is that beauty is subjective.

No one will be really satisfied, so casting her is going to be pretty hard.

I think there was some discussion of making her mixed race, to show the Maia/Elven heritage?

It will depend a little on who we cast as Thingol, of course, but Luthien should at least be somewhat plausible as Melian + Thingol's daughter. Melian is Rachel Weisz.
