Saruman's ring induced monolog

Well spotted Silberfaust!

However, I wonder whether Saruman experiences a 'Ring induced monologue'. Can the Ring operate on someone over such a long distance? Can the Ring induce monologues in anyone other than it's bearer? (Well, is Boromir subjected to a Ring induced monologue when he tries to take the Ring from Frodo? Maybe? The Ring is near. But, Boromir has probably been thinking about the whole 'destroy the Ring' strategy for a long time, and thinking that it is not a very good strategy. "If Sauron gets the Ring, he wins. If we destroy the Ring, and Sauron does not get it, he likely wins (according to Elrond). The Counsels taken at Imladris do not seem to have come up with a very good plan. Whether we destroy the Ring or not, Sauron wins and we end up dead or slaves. Maybe wielding the Ring against Sauron is not a great idea? Maybe it would just create another Dark Lord? But surely even if it did, a human Dark Lord would not be as powerful nor as permanently dangerous as Sauron?"

Boromir's monologue certainly might be Ring induced. So might Saurman's. But it seems to me less likely? What do others think?
