I was browsing the Kindle store, looking for their Kalevala offerings. There are at least 7; does anyone have an opinion on which version they like best?

Sadly, I haven't yet read it, but Verlyn Flieger recommended the Eino Friberg translation to me back at Mythmoot. It's not available for kindle, though.

According to Wikipedia, the translation by William Forsell Kirby is particularly good at retaining the original meter (Kalevala meter ) and both volumes are available for the Kindle for free (Wikipedia also commends JM Crawford's translation but I could only see the first volume). At that price I'd say it's worth the risk just to have it available :D

The Kirby one is 4 bucks (Canadian) in Google Play Books.
