There are a few distinctive features of Mithrim - the large lake, and the nearby mountains. We may need to use multiple locations to get the looks.
I do think the Faroe Islands have a nice, northern, windswept look to them. They lack the high mountain ranges, obviously, but they have some nice lakes. And because the sea is a back drop, it would be easy to layer in mountain ranges behind (as it's just sky in the view).
