It's similar to the idea we want but it's obviously the wrong ship model. Pretty cool though.

By the way...

By chance i had just again been writing on elven swan-ships and so i made some research...

I knew that historical swan-ships did exist, but they were different to what i had thought...
most of us seem to think of swan-ships as more or less viking long-ships with swan-heads instead of dragon-figureheads...

Well what i did not know was that roman and phoenician swan-ships had been thing... but they seem to have been quite common in their time and they ,looked like this:

Yes, it is pretty clear that he intended they be a galley in form for the most part.
