Where is the last photo from?
I really like the peaks, but the rest of the landscape doesn't really fit :/

Yeah, i was only talking about the formation of the volcanos... not the entire landscape.

I think those pictures look like the results of erosion, not young volcanoes.

Would that rule out thangorodrim?

I just think Thangorodrim would look (overall) more like a young volcano, not one that has been eroded a lot by wind. It'll only be about 500 years old when it gets smashed.

If tolkien gateway is right they're even only 19 years old... (at the time of feanor's co ing to beleriand)so wel'll have to do with some kind of artificial forming anyway, to me that would include structures like such that naturally o ly appear through errosion...
