Feanor

(I imagine Argon will be cut from this project or, if included, killed in the Kinslaying at Alqualondë - not worrying about him until next season!)

Celebrimbor is an interesting idea, though - I could see that. Celebrimbor is the son of Curufin, who looks remarkably like his father Fëanor, so probably anyone in consideration for Fëanor could make a good Celebrimbor as well.

I kinda like his look for Maglor. Trying to put my finger on why... maybe because, with proper hair/makeup/costume, he could look like a "softer" version of Armitage's Feanor?

Yes he could be Maglor, I agree - although I was thinking about the description of Maglor as a mighty singer; perhaps he's like an opera singer? And I know Gerard Butler played the Phantom of the opera (I know it's not the same but anyway), he could be a mighty singer... well that's a discussion for another day...

Yeah. Above anything, Maglor must have a great voice (and Bulter's not bad, voice was, but we can do better. At least, his "Music of the Night" never impressed me.) But I do like this guy's look for the part.

Still 1525% behind Armitage as Feanor, though.

Ok. That's a shame. I just read he'd done it, never heard it myself.

I had Nicholas Hoult in mind for Maglor myself, more pleasant and even a little nerdy compared to his brothers.

It's really not a question for this season. We could discuss it in the Elf thread I guess.

Isn't it, though? If we're going to the Death of Finwe/Darkening of Valinor, we need all of them to be adult and around, if only in the background.

It's easy to maybe get a bit snooty about it and dismiss it out of hand, but when I hear "so handsome you want to punch him in the face", I don't see any of the other faces in the thread. I'm more on-board with this:

Zac Efron. I just wanna punch that face... 🙂

Oh, if wanting to punch him in the face is the standard, then I think I would have to go with Chris Pine 😛

But I think we cast him as Gothmog?
